Hi friends. Yesterday, I grabbed a copy of the Forecaster's Coastal Journal from one of those metal newspaper boxes in front of the Brunswick Post Office. This was on the cover:
You can read the rest of the article here.
This struck a deep chord in me, the kind that sounds like "IguessIknewthiswasrealbutIhopeditwasn'tactuallytrue." It's difficult to articulate all the thoughts and feelings churning around in my head, heart, and gut, so I won't try. You're probably feeling it too.
The first thing I want to do for this organization is donate profits from my massage practice to them for the next two months. So for May and June, after I have paid expenses, all profits are for them. Please, if you have been thinking of coming in for a session, do it now. Help me write them a big check.
If you don't want a massage, or you don't live close enough to come get one, please consider donating what you can directly to them, or investigate opportunities to help in your own community. Because something tells me this isn't just a midcoast Maine problem.
I'm not sure what the next thing will be. Still processing. Stay tuned.
